  1. My favorite ever picture biography, this is a superb introduction to Carl Sagan. As a child, Carl Sagan was curious and interested in everything around him. His imagination and thirst for understanding motivated him to go out and study and he eventually became one of the great scientists to study our universe. This is his story, with humor and creative and inspired illustrations.

This book is by Stephanie Roth Sisson. This book is about Excellence. Carl thought that the stars were the most excellent things in the whole world.

Carl lived in Brooklyn New York, in a small apartment. But he imagined about this far more extraordinary. He was always curious about everything. Carl always wondered about stars and space.

Carl wanted to learn more about stars so he went to the library. He didn’t stop until he was done. He loved stars and space so much, that he ended up being an astronomer. He and his new scientist friends decided to make 2 voyagers. Carl had finally done what he wanted to do ever since he was a little boy, studied stars.

“Imagination will often carry us to worlds that never were, but without it we go nowhere.”

  5. This book was nice, but I only have one complaint to the author. With the boy part, it was 1939 (It says the 1939 world fair on the radio) but young Carl has a toy rocket and in his boy drawings he drew rockets. As anybody who studied history will know, rockets were invented by the NAZIS towards the end of WW2. And Carl is an AMERICAN in 1939, at the beginning of the second world war! I'm probably thinking too much about this though. This book was a nice short biography.
