  2. I liked this book because it showed how the animals adapted and survived without the resources that they needed.I wish I read this book earlier! I think the illustrations were pretty awesome. This book is cool, you should read it.

  3. I liked this book because it talked about adapting and how the island sunk. It was interesting because after the island stopped erupting it started sinking by less than a millimeter a year. I liked how it talked about how people explored it at the end.

  4. This book was really interesting. I liked the illustrations. I found it very interesting about the evolution of different species on the island. It made me want to keep reading and learning more about it. I actually learned something while having fun. I like the animals.

  5. I really liked this book because the illustrations really helped with describing how the island changed over time. I don't think it would have been as good without all those illustrations, which were really beautiful.

  6. I read the book Galapagos Island. I really like this book because it was about how the Galapagos Islands came to be. If you like science and experimenting then you could enjoy this book too. My favorite part was when they described how the volcanoes grew.. and grew...and grew.

  7. I enjoyed the book Island because it was an interesting story about how the Galapagos Islands were created. It had amazing illustrations that look like it was real. It gave excellent information about the Galapagos. This would be a great book for almost all ages but for younger people it could be read to.

  9. You should read Island because it was about Galapagos Islands. They had many animals on the islands. My favorite part was when all the animals were going to islands. Another part that I liked was when the animals had to move because one of the islands was gone. I really liked Island because it is a true story. It was really interesting.

  12. I think this book was really good because it has a lot of good illustrations. I think the author did a good job showing the island evolving into one big island. I would give this book a three star rating. If you like learning about animals and islands this the book for you.

I totally recommend this book because it has a bunch of fun facts. If you like science then I think you will probably this book.

  14. This book is good because it was an about island with animals that you can never see here. It can be found off the coast of South America. There are some animals that have special features. The island has a volcano that erupted under water.

  18. When I read the book Island a story about the Galapagos I couldn't stop reading it. It was interesting because I like geology. I do enjoy volcanic activity and Island life cycle and how deep it sinks every year. I recommend this book for people who like geology.

  19. I like this book because it’s about dinosaurs and volcanoes and it happened in the 1800’s. The island has sunken into the ocean thats the part I didn’t like because the dinosaurs died too. One day on the island the volcano exploded with lava thats how it sinked into the ocean. I hope you would like this book because it’s about scientific stuff.

  24. Island is a book about the Galapagos Islands and how they were formed. I didn’t like this book because I’m not really interested in the history of the Galapagos Islands.
    But I was interested in the part when the volcanos kept erupting and forming new islands. Also I liked the animals.

  29. Island was a good book because it shows history of the coast of Ecuador. It has beautiful art and my favorite part was when the animals came and the plants grew. My favorite animal was the Galapagos sea lion. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes art and history. It was a good book. I think you will enjoy the book Island.
