I read the book Emily’s Fortune and I thought that it was great. I thought that it was great because it was really funny because of the way they spoke. I also liked it because they went on a fun adventure which is what I like in books. Other thoughts that I have about this book is that it was cool that all of Emily’s friends names went together to be ready, aim and fire. Another part that I liked in this book was that Emily and Jackson became friends and helped each other through the journey anyone that like adventure books will enjoy this book very much. Jackson especially helped Emily a lot.

    Emily’s Fortune
I read the book Emily’s Fortune, it is a very good book and it is very funny. The book is about a girl named Emily and a boy named Jackson that have to get her to her aunt far away without the bandits getting her. It is also about Emily and Jackson helping each other along the way. It is also funny because Emily has a turtle that is Emily’s best friend; it was a good funny book. I think it is a really good book for 4th graders and if you like things that are funny, this book is really good.

  6. I read Emily’s Fortune. I didn’t like this book. All it was about was a girl named Emily tries to get to her aunt’s house. I didn’t like this book because it wasn’t the kind of reading I like. I like adventure books I also like comedy books. Emily’s Fortune was neither of those things. Besides it wasn’t even my level book it was way too easy. Also some pages had only had a few ridiculously too big words. I didn’t see how that was a fourth grade level book, or even a third grade book. I didn’t like this book at all. The book was pointless, I love reading but this book just wasn’t good. But if you want to read a book about a girl running around the state you will like this. This book was about well I basically explained the book. So she meets a boy that teaches her to climb a tree. Dumb right, that’s why I didn’t like Emily’s Fortune. This is why I don’t like Emily’s Fortune.

  7. I read the book Emily’s Fortune I really liked because it was a very jam packed it wasn’t slow moving.

Emily is an 8yr old girl who became an orphan. She was riding in a carriage with her mom and Ms. Luella Nash. One day on their way home the carriage tipped over and killed her mom and the other lady. Emily’s only family left is her greedy uncle Victor and her aunt Hilda. She took a train to go live with her aunt. On the way she met a boy named Jackson and they became good friends. He helped her disguise herself as a boy so her uncle and the child catching lady wouldn’t find her. They wanted the fortune that she inherited from her mom. Emily is saved by her Aunt Hilda. She adopted both her and her friend Jackson. Emily is an 8yr old girl who became an orphan. She was riding in a carriage with her mom and Ms. Luella Nash.
